Wing King to Appear on Emeril Live!

Set your DVR’S Just in time for the 2008 NATIONAL BUFFALO WING FESTIVAL, festival founder Drew Cerza, also known as “The Wing King” will make a special appearance on the FOOD NETWORK’S Emeril Live with chef and host Emeril Lagasse.

The show, which was recorded in November of 2007, will air on Monday, August 11th, at 2pm. The FOOD NETWORK airs in the Buffalo market on Time-Warner Cable Channel 50.

Cerza and his family, including wife Jodi and daughters Sydney and Nicole, were special guests on the set for the November taping, in which Lagasse featured several recipes for Buffalo Wings and other Buffalo Wing-style foods.

The one hour show featured footage of the 2007 Wingfest, as Emeril interacted with Drew during his recipe preparations. Emeril described him as the authority on chicken wings and utilized Cerza and his family as his taste-testers for his recipes.

“It was a great experience for my family and me and quite an honor to be referred to and respected as the ‘authority on Buffalo Wings’ by Emeril, one of the greatest chefs in the world. He is a gentleman and a great guy”, said Cerza.

The airing of the show comes less than three weeks before the “Wing King” presents his 7th Annual NATIONAL BUFFALO WING FESTIVAL in Buffalo’s Dunn Tire Park.

The annual event will take place on Labor Day Weekend, August 30th & 31st.
