0.5k Chicken Wing RunGet off the Couch- Drop the Remote Control-Get in Shape! We all need to start somewhere.... The 0.5k Run spans exactly 500 cruel meters (equivalent to 22 driveways, 4 city blocks or 51 Winnebagos parked end to end) spanning around Dunn Tire Park. Although a race like this is notoriously difficult to predict, finishing times are projected to be "several minutes to three-quarters of an hour." Regardless of the outcome, the 0.5k promises drama, excitement and fun. The 2010 0.5K Chicken Wing Run begins at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 4th at the starting line, located in front of Coca-Cola Field on Swan Street. Runners need to convene by 12:30 PM at the starting line for pre-race festivities. The race wraps around the ballpark with a left-hand turn onto Washington Street. Then the race proceeds left on Exchange Street, then left again for the mad dash to the Finish Line, located on the field inside Coca-Cola Field Entry into the run is FREE with paid festival admission ticket and open to all age groups. Entry Form: This form will act as your registration for the 0.5K Chicken Wing Run. Registration is FREE. You can register online by completing this form, or register the day of the race at the registration tent located by the festival entrance. Thanks and good luck. |
